5/24 My roommate and I are looking for a third to move in with us to a house in East Austin, 1 mile from downtown located by E. 12th and Chestnut. It is a 3 bed/1 bath and the bills would be about $400 a month + utilities. The house has a great front and back yard, shed for storing bikes and a small garden. We are looking to move in around July 1st. About us: My name is Eric, I work a retail job which keeps me busy at all random hours of the week. I love reading, cooking and a good dance party. Heather is a grad student at UT. She has two dogs (lab and boxer mix) that are very well behaved, seriously, they are way cool. We are tidy people that enjoy coming back to a place that is restful and feels like home. We also like an occasional potluck or dance party at the house :) With that being said, we are looking for someone that is respectful (noise levels at certain hours, aware when people are sleeping, cleans up their own mess, is open to communication etc.) and enjoys the company of the people that they live with. Preferably you are in your mid-twenties to early thirties. We consider ourselves pretty friendly and would love to live with someone similar. If we sound like a good fit for you, we would love to chat.

We are two ladies looking for a third housemate in East Austin. We live near the intersection of E 14th and Chestnut. Our neighborhood is very diverse. If safety is your utmost priority this may not be your part of town, but we feel comfortable here. Our two-story duplex is on a quiet, tree-shaded corner with two small organic garden plots, and a great porch for hanging out on. The house is nearly 2,000 sq. ft. and has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. You would have your own room and bathroom. The open bedroom is upstairs, gets great air conditioning/heat and has a built-in closet. There is also a guestroom for short-term visitors. We have a spacious living room and kitchen with large windows which provide nice sunlight during the day. A small laundry room has a washer and dryer, with some room to store your bicycle. Gas, electricity and wireless internet are split evenly; running between $70-$100 a month per person. Rent is $442, and there is a $50 application fee to be paid to the rental company. You would be signing the lease from present until May 1, 2010. There is no smoking or pets. Our home is located along bus routes to UT and downtown. We are looking for a female who is considerate, mature and responsible and who won’t be coming home from work every morning at 2 a.m. We are two social workers who work Monday thru Friday and like to ride bicycles, dance and cook nourishing food on the weekends. If you are interested or have more questions, please send me an email telling us a bit about yourself. Thanks! amber_lainey@yahoo.com

Hey all! I just recently bought a house and decided I would love to have a roommate. It's a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house. You would have to share your bathroom with guests. The room is 11 x 13.5 with a small walk-in closet. I have a washer/dryer, direct tv (only hooked up in the living room),ADT security, and wi-fi. I have a large backyard that I a currently raising chicks in it and soon a border collie puppy. I would also love to put in a vegetable garden, so if that sounds like fun I'll be happy with the help! I also have 1 cat. I am looking to rent this room starting in August, but we can talk about that if you need to move in a little before then. Please email me if you're interested or have a friend who may be interested! $400 for the rent plus 1/2 the utilities. I can email pictures if you'd like them.

| remove from favorites | Looking for garage apartment or musician-friendly roommate | No Picture |
Ideally, I'd like to find a garage apartment that is not attached to a main house, as I'd like to also use it for practicing with my band (only at decent hours of course). If anyone has a living space like this available, please let me know. I'd also be interested in trying to rent a house with another musician (or someone sympathetic to a practice or two a week). I'm a christian male, late 20s, good credit/job, keep a very clean house, no drugs, books over television, fairly quiet except for the music :) My current lease runs out July 1, but I may be able to move earlier for the right situation. thanks, Michael juderossmusic at gmail.com

I have an opportunity to move to South Austin this summer to dog sit/house sit for FREE. I need to find someone cool to take over my portion of the lease. We are seeking a friendly, easy-going female roommate. Here are the details: We live at the Lofts at the Triangle, a very nice complex off of 46th and Lamar. Here's the website if you want to see pictures: http://triangleaustin.com/lofts/ My portion of the rent is $575 per month. Including bills, I usually pay around $650. This includes water ($15ish), cable & internet ($36.19), and electricity ($20-30). My room is the smallest, but it is not small by any means. It's probably 11x12 or something like that with two windows and a sliding mirrored door closet. I already put up curtains, so you are welcome to keep those. You would share a bathroom with Erin, who is delightful. Alana is my other awesome roommate and she has the master bedroom on the other side of the apartment. The apartment is very spacious, high ceilings, wood floors, large kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. I've noticed it has fairly good insulation and the washer and dryer are included. There is also a community patio right next to our place, two pools, and a work out center. If money is an issue, I am willing to help out with part of the cost of rent for first three months you are there. The lease is up at the end of November, but there is a possibility that one or both of my roommates would want to renew the lease. If you or someone you know needs a place to live, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! The apartment is huge and you would get to live with great people in a great location. elisabeth.hw@gmail.com

We're thinking about renting out our master bedroom in order to live more economically and more in community. We have a large house (four bedroom) which is primarily a warehouse for all our crap. It definitely would have to be the right situation: we have two boys with Autism and we're pretty scattered ourselves. We live in Round Rock, near Dell. The schools are excellent. I'm thinking $800 including utilities; $1000 if you want two bedrooms. We could also share food costs, transportation (My spouse works at UT) and babysitting. Email me at joeggill@earthlink.net. Thanks.
